Dyson Zone headphones are designed to take on the double challenge of city noise and air pollution. They are the result of five years of research and development and thirty years of experience Dyson in the study of the flow, filtration and quality of indoor and outdoor air. Indeed, they offer aimmersive audio experience with minimal distortion, with advanced noise cancellation and full-spectrum faithful reproduction.

Furthermore, thanks to the electrostatic filters, they capture the 99% of polluting particles down to 0.1 micron. While the potassium-enriched K-Carbon activated carbon filters are able to trap the acid gases most associated with urban pollution (including NO2 and SO2). Powered by advanced lithium-ion batteries and rechargeable via USB-C, the headphones offer 50 hours of battery life in audio mode. Or 4 hours of autonomy in combined purification and audio mode. Dyson’s approach to audio engineering

  • Engineered for minimal sound distortion. The speaker driver, electronics, mechanical system, materials and acoustics have been carefully designed to minimize distortion. Driver output is further equalized by intelligent signal processing 48,000 times per second. Together with noise cancellation, it neutralizes harmonic distortion to imperceptible levels across the entire frequency range (0.08% @ 94dB @1kHz).
  • Advanced noise cancellation. The product is equipped with 11 microphones. Dyson Zone’s ANC system uses eight microphones that monitor surrounding noise 384,000 times per second. The device offers up to 38dB of noise cancellation from 20Hz to 20kHz.
  • Faithful, full-spectrum audio. Dyson Zone goes beyond what can be detected by the human ear, to reproduce frequencies from 6Hz to 21kHz, ensuring every note or word is heard. Audio reproduction is less likely to be accurate at the extremes of the frequency range: going beyond what can be detected by human hearing, Dyson Zone achieves greater clarity across the audible portion of the spectrum. Such a wide frequency range is due to the system’s electro-acoustic engineering and core components: 40mm, 16-ohm neodymium speaker drivers are the heart of the audio system.
  • Scientifically tuned to hear more details. Based on scientific parameters validated by extensive listening tests, Dyson engineers have identified the specification that offers the greatest clarity and the best details across the audio spectrum. Dyson has created a unique equalization setting that optimizes the frequency curve for clear, pure sound across the entire audible frequency range, for a high fidelity audio experience.

Additional control with the My Dyson app

Finally, with l’app MyDyson you can adjust the airflow speed and noise canceling mode. As well as adapt the audio equalization to your preferences, choosing between three modes: Dyson EQ (improved), Bass Boost (bassy) and Neutral (flatter response curve). Thanks to an integrated sensor, the application is also able to monitor the levels of NO2 present in the air and the levels of environmental noise, tracing them in real time.
