Eagle Pictures announces home video releases for July 2021. Let’s find out all the titles together.
The summer of Eagle Pictures begins with great emotions thanks to the Home Video news of July 2021.
From 7 July available in Home Video The nest-L’inganno, exciting thriller by Sean Durkin, director of the acclaimed horror Martha’s Escape, released in DVD format. Starring stars Jude Law, Carrie Coon and Oona Roche, in a gripping film set in 1980s England. Driven by the economic boom and the constant quest to make his mark in the world of finance, Rory (Jude Law) leaves America to move to London in a sumptuous country villa with his family, where also his wife Allison (Carrie Coon) he will finally be able to fulfill his great dream: open his own riding school and devote himself to horse riding. The radical change, however, finds the couple completely unprepared, and the crisis, which has been undetected for a long time, suddenly explodes, putting the future of the family at risk.
July 14 will be the turn of the exciting Ricomincio da te by Drake Doremus, also published in DVD format. Protagonist Shailene Woodley, star of the Divergent saga and the Big Little Lies TV series, here in the role of a thirty-year-old who, between joys and sorrows, is looking for her place in the world. At his side is actor Sebastian Stan, known for playing the role of Bucky Barnes / Winter Soldier in the Marvel Universe films and in the television series Gossip Girl. Thirty-year-old Daphne (Shailene Woodley) grapples with a budget for her life after the end of a troubled relationship. At a party, she meets two fascinating and completely opposite men and best friends: Frank (Sebastian Stan) the classic handsome and unreliable “bad boy”, and Jack (Jamie Dornan), balanced and sensitive. Daphne lets herself be enchanted by both of them, weaving totally distinct love relationships that will allow her to (re) discover life and herself. But fate has other plans for her.
From July 28th Ammonite – Above the sea wave will be available by Francis Lee, also published in DVD format. A thrilling true story, inspired by the real-life character of paleontologist Mary Anning, played by Academy Award®-winning actress Kate Winslet, joined here by the talented Saoirse Ronan, acclaimed star of Lady Bird and Little Women. In the 1840s, celebrated self-taught paleontologist Mary Anning (Kate Winslet) works alone on the wild and brutal coast of Lyme Regis in southern England. Here she goes in search of common fossils to sell them to tourists to support herself and her widowed and sick mother. When a tourist, Roderick Murchison, arrives in Lyme, he instructs Mary to take care of his young wife, Charlotte (Saoirse Ronan), who is recovering from a personal tragedy. Mary cannot afford to refuse, but, proud and relentlessly passionate about her work, she clashes with her unwanted guest. They are women from different worlds. Yet, Mary and Charlotte discover that they can offer each other what they need: the knowledge that they are not alone. It is the beginning of a pervasive and passionate love story that will challenge any social convention and irrevocably change the course of their lives.
Eagle Pictures: the new releases of the 4KULT series
Also in July, appointment with new releases of the 4KULT series, dedicated to unmissable limited edition 4K re-editions of films that have marked the history of cinema, containing a numbered collector’s card. Among the novelties of the month, Last action hero, cult of 1993 with Arnold Schwarzenegger, available starting from 7 July, In the center of the viewfinder, unforgettable action movie starring Clint Eastwood published also from 7 July, Final Fantasy VII – Advent Children, from saga inspired by the PlayStation video game of the same name that changed the history of JRPG forever, available from July 14, Almost famous, Cameron Crowe’s award-winning film about the golden years of rock and released on July 21. 4K (with dual 4K and Blu-Ray discs, containing the extended and original version along with lots of extras) and in Blu-ray format (with dual Blu-Ray discs containing the extended and original version of the film and with extra content), and finally Snatch – Lo strappo, a fast-paced crime movie by director Guy Ritchie with Brad Pitt and Benicio Del Toro, available from 28 July.
