Julius Avery’s intense The Exorcist of the Pope, scripted by two of the world’s most accredited horror experts Michael Petroni and Evan Spiliotopoulos, is available on DVD and Blu-ray from 13 July. The undisputed protagonist is the charismatic Oscar winner Russell Crowe, here in the role of head exorcist of the Vatican, inspired by a real figure, that of Father Gabriele Amorth. The film follows the chief exorcist as he investigates a boy’s terrifying possession and ends up uncovering a centuries-old conspiracy that the Vatican has desperately tried to keep under wraps. From July 20, again thanks to Eagle Pictures, the sci-fi thriller 65 – Escape from the Earth by Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, former authors of “A Quiet Place” arrives on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD. Produced by Sam Raimi, Deborah Liebling, Zainab Azizi, Scott Beck and Bryan Woods and starring Oscar nominee Adam Driver, here grappling with a film halfway between “Alien” and “Jurassic Park” together with the young Ariana Greenblatt. After crashing catastrophically on an unknown planet, pilot Mills (Adam Driver) quickly discovers that he was in fact lost on Earth 65 million years ago. Now, with only one chance to save herself, Mills and the only other survivor, Koa (Ariana Greenblatt), must fight their way through a known land filled with prehistoric creatures in an epic fight for survival.
