Earthblade: this is the name of the new title of the Celeste developers of which we propose a first teaser trailer
We told you about it earlier in the day. The developer of Celeste e TowerFall, Extremely OK Games, announced his next title: Earthblade, a 2D exploration title set in a “world of seamless pixel art”, below we propose the first trailer. The title is currently scheduled for release in the “20XX“, Which means it may take a while before we see it in physical and virtual shop windows. The official poster and logo of Pedro and Medeiros and the music of Lena Raine (who also composed the soundtrack for Celeste) have been revealed in a new clip on Twitter. Let’s see all the details about it in the next lines of this article.
Earthblade: the new title from the developers of Celeste has a rather “troubled” history
On the official website of the study of Celeste, founder Maddy Thorson said that “it will probably be some time” before more information is shared about Earthblade of which you can see the first teaser trailer down. Reportedly, it took four prototypes to catch up with Earthblade’s current project and Thorson reported that the title could be released “within five years of Celeste.” However, three years have already passed:
The truth is we don’t know how long it will take, only it will take as long as it takes (and it will take a long time)

Thorson explained that the first three prototypes of the title taught the developer a lot, but in the end the software house had gone too far from his “comfort zone“. As of now, the basic overall concept is in place although a lot may change along the way. We leave you to the statements of Maddy Thorson:
We feel really good about how the project is progressing. Now it is our task to transform this ephemeral and uncontaminated mental object into a real, imperfect and human object. We will be here, slowly carrying out that task every day. We really hope that at the end of this, some of you will enjoy what we do.
Earthblade hasn’t been confirmed for either platform, but a PC version seems a given. We will keep you updated on all future developments in this regard.
