Echo Group will be protagonist at the new edition of the Venice International Film Festival: all the details

One of the most anticipated events of the year for the world of cinema is about to return. From 31 August to 10 September 2022 the 79th edition of the Venice International Film Festival. Among the many protagonists of the Venetian festival, a prominent place is occupied by Echo Group, which presents various films that compete in numerous sections of the event. So let’s go and discover the various films that will be presented during the days of the Venetian festival by Echo Group.

Echo Group: the films presented in Venice

Let’s start with Others’ children, a feature film signed by Rebecca Zlotowski in the Venezia 97 ‖ Competition section. It is a French production that tells the story of Rachel, a forty-year-old woman who teaches guitar. The woman falls in love with Ali and forms a deep bond with her 4-year-old daughter: Leila. A deep relationship is established between the two, so much so that Rachel begins to treat Leila as if she were her daughter, but the reality is different.

In the Horizons ‖ Competition section there will be instead The Syndicalist, Franco-German production signed by Jean-Paul Salomé. The true story of Maureen Kearney is told, a union representative who works in the field of nuclear and renewable energies and in 2012 she learns of a heavy state secret that would upset the country and finds herself having to fight alone against many strong powers to make the news known.

The Italian Carolina Cavalli signs Amanda, film with Benedetta Porcaroli present in the Orizzonti Extra ‖ Competition section. Amanda is a lonely girl, looking for friends, who after discovering that she spent a lot of time with such a Rebecca as a child, she tries to convince her that they are still best friends than her.

We continue with Worlds Apart, a film that stages the coexistence between three pairs of friends during the lockdown in Los Angeles. In isolation, the protagonists’ tensions and secrets will emerge and relationships will be seen in a new light. The film sees the participation of Bob Odenkrik and will be present in the SIAE Masterclass ‖ Giornate degli authors section.

In Notti Veneziane ‖ Days of the authors we find instead The shyness of the hair by Valentina Bertani. Benjamin and Joshua Israel are homozygous twins of Jewish origin, who with the arrival of adulthood begin to feel oppressed and unable to imagine and plan their future. My Little Lovers it is instead a film in the Venezia Classici ‖ Restauri section. It is a 1974 film that tells the story of Daniel, a young man who lives with his grandmother and sees his future upset.

Finally, the last two films featured are The Mysteries of Compton House Gardenalso in the Venezia Classici section ‖ Restauri e Bonniea portrayal of legendary casting director Bonnie Timmerman, a proponent of many blockbuster films such as Armchair for Two and Heat.
