Ennio: here is the trailer of the documentary on Morricone signed by the famous director Giuseppe Tornatore, arriving in cinemas on 27 January 2022
Tornatore offers us the incredible possibility of discovering how they coexisted in the famous musician and composer Ennio Morricone artistic and human sensitivity, thanks to a new, unmissable documentary entitled “Ennio”. The film will be available in cinemas starting January 27, 2022.
It will be the portrait of one of the most prolific and legendary film soundtrack composers of the last generations, directed by Tornatore who had the honor of collaborating with the great artist for 25 years. Tarantino he defined him as “one of the most legendary composers, period” and with good reason we agree with him.
Morricone was the most famous musician of the twentieth century, the most loved by the international public, two times Oscar winner, author of over five hundred unforgettable soundtracks.
The documentary, Ennio, was presented with great success at the Out of Competition at the Venice Film Festival and at the Bif & st and I tell Maestro Morricone through a long interview, interspersed with the testimonies of famous artists and directors such as Bernardo Bertolucci, Giuliano Montaldo, Marco Bellocchio , Dario Argento, the Taviani brothers, Carlo Verdone, Barry Levinson, Roland Joffè, Oliver Stone, Quentin Tarantino, Clint Eastwood and Bruce Springsteen.

Tornatore, regarding the figure of Morricone, declared:
I worked for twenty-five years with Ennio Morricone. I made almost all my films with him, not counting the documentaries, commercials and projects that we tried to put together without success. During all this time our friendship has grown stronger and stronger. So, film after film, as my knowledge of his character as a man and as an artist deepened, I always wondered what kind of documentary I could make about him. And today my dream came true.
At this point, all that remains is to tell you to mark the date of January 27, when the film will be released in theaters, distributed by Lucky Red in collaboration with TimVision.
