Race 1 of EuroNASCAR 2 gave Zolder many emotions that did not end with the checkered flag. Let’s see all the details

Vladimiros Tziortzis comes to this event as first in the standings, but Alberto Naska and Paul Jouffreau they are three and four lengths apart respectively. The possibility of obtaining double points in this last event of the season is the icing on the cake which suggests a weekend ad alte temperature.

Qualifying saw the French driver from Competition meeting take the pole in front of a surprising Claudio Cappelli. Third place for Alberto Naska with his CAAL Racing, while Tziortzis finished sixth. But how did the various pilots manage everything? Let’s find out together how it went race 1 of EuroNASCAR 2 in Zolder.

EuroNASCAR 2: race 1 at Zolder was bedlam

Jouffreau wins race 1, but finishes seventh | EuroNASCAR 2 Zolder

From the first corners this grand prix promises important emotions. Jouffreau’s wrong startnot the first in this championship, immediately puts him under attack from the Italian Cappelli who manages to overtake the Frenchman already at the first corner. However, we have to wait until the fifth lap to have a jolt in the race.

In fact, along the initial straight, Cappelli is attacked on the outside by the RDV Competition driver, while on the inside Alberto Naska has the upper hand, overtaking both rivals and thus gaining first position. However, Jouffreau’s action does not end here and in the second corner he overtakes Cappelli who had managed to defend himself shortly before. The Cremonese driver is then sucked into traffic and, after a long time in the Kleine chicane, disappears from the radar.

The race continues for a few laps, with Jouffreau literally stamped on Naska’s bumper. On the ninth lap the Frenchman tries to overtake on the outside at the first corner, but the Italian is not intimidated. Both keep their foot on the accelerator and continue their race together until a contact does not catapult the CAAL Racing driver out, forcing him to return eighteenth. As regards what happened, the commissioners are launching an investigation which will be evaluated post-race.

After a brief Full Course Yellow the race resumes, but very little happens. Jouffreau crosses the finish line ahead of Linster, Schober, Degroot and Tziortzis which closes the top 5. Naska only eighteenth which sees a good race disappear and perhaps even all the chances of winning the championship.

For a driver who slides to the bottom, we have some one who rises to prominence and who will probably try to do the same in game 2. LinsterIndeed, he is the real winner of the race and comes violently close to the lead of the world championship after the heavy penalty lasting 30 seconds which hit Jouffreau. The latter finishes seventh and loses other precious points compared to the Cypriot of ACADEMY/CAFFI.

Nothing is therefore certain yet race 2 promises to be even more exciting because many will risk everything to achieve victory. What should we expect? To ensure you don’t miss any further news regarding the world of motors, continue to follow techgameworld.com!
