Everybody 1-2-Switch! Review: Everyone Involved!

In this review we will analyze Everybody 1-2-Switch!, the party game by Nintendo, son of the title released together with the hybrid console of the Grande N

It was the now distant 2017 when Nintendo’s hybrid console was launched on the market with an exclusive annex in full style of the Kyoto house. At the time, it was 1-2 Switch, the most classic of party games with a very strong social component, capable of attracting the public and showing them the functionality and potential of a double-souled console. In fact, the real protagonists of this videogame formula are two: the user and his own joycon, which become one. Everybody 1-2-Switch! is the son of this philosophy and of the first exclusive which, to be honest, was presented in a more complete and complex way, in which by complex we mean more articulated and more structured; in this review we’re going to find out the details but in the meantime here is the presentation trailer of the game:

Old but gold | Review Everybody 1-2-Switch!

As mentioned a few lines ago, the playful formula of Everybody 1-2-Switch! is almost identical to that of its predecessor and other titles of the genre. It is a party game structured in multiple mini-games in which players will be required to perform certain actions. All this generates fun and a spirit of competition. Just position yourself in a large space, tie your joycon well to your hand and start playing. In this title there is also the possibility of using the smartphone instead of the joycon. From a purely social point of view we consider Everybody 1-2 Switch! a title capable of completing its “mission”. The game, as already mentioned, is fun and above all manages to be extremely intuitive and to involve even those who basically don’t usually play video games. Such titles break down that wall that many identify in the inability to empathize in video game characters.

Ritmo | Review Everybody 1-2-Switch!

What we consider to be fundamental in the review of Everybody 1-2-Switch! it concerns two elements: the replayability of the title and the pace of the latter. A rhythm that is often undermined and negatively influenced by invasive and slow explanations and descriptions that cause a series of dead times and rhythm interruptions that do little good for the title and its nature. We believe that a party game like Everybody 1-2-Switch! must be impeccable in terms of timing, leaving much more room for the actual gameplay. Just as, although there are a good number of mini-games, the variety of the situations proposed is missing. In fact, each minigame has multiple versions that slightly vary the minigame itself but, at the end of the day, they remain almost identical and this, in a party game capable of involving, turns out to be a real shame.

Let’s sum up!

We have reached the end of our short review of Everybody 1-2-Switch!; we are faced with a title that is certainly capable of entertaining and involving anyone who has the desire and curiosity. The addition of the possibility of using the smartphone instead of the joycon certainly facilitates this expansion of users which, however, may suffer a little from the presence of excessive explanations and the lack of replayability of some mini-games due to the choice to present them different versions of the same. The possibility, however, of approaching the mini-games both with sports, therefore as an excuse to carry out physical activity, and with an extremely playful and playful way, however, make it an enjoyable and fun title. All at one honest price and well measured according to the proposed offer.
