Through the official Twitter profile of the event, the lineup of the games that will be present at EVO 2022, the popular and annual fighting game tournament, has been unveiled.
The world of eSports is in continuous and burning evolution, both as regards the Italian and international scene. There are several tournaments held each year, each focusing on one or more specific titles. From League of Legends to Rainbow Six Siege, passing through Overwatch, fans of “competitive gaming” always have bread for their teeth and events to follow, especially on Twitch. Among these, EVO is a competition held annually and which focuses on fighting video games. This year it will be held from August 5th to 7th, in a live event from Mandalay Bay to Las Vegas.
In the past few hours, the games that will be present at EVO 2022 have been revealed through the official Twitter profile of the competition. As per tradition, this year too the big absentee will be Nintendo’s Smash Bros., which as fans already know has already signed a contract with Panda Global for the creation of its own official competition. A policy that reflects the global closure that Nintendo continues to have in the world of video games and which is perfectly combined with the strikes and legal threats sent to the creators who, in an unofficial way, create competitions and tournaments even using Nintendo games.

As for EVO 2022, there will be nine games to be exact. In order we will find Street Fighter V, Guilty Gear: Strive, Mortal Kombat 11, Tekken 7, The King of Fighters XV, Melty Blood: Type Lumina, Dragon Ball FighterZ, Granblue Fantasy e Skullgirls: 2nd Encore. After the cancellation of the 2021 edition of the event, this year EVO 2022 will be held as a live event and with the audience in the hall. Instead, you can follow the competition from home via the event’s official Twitch profile.
