F1 is making a stop in Shanghai this weekend on its way to the Chinese GP with the weather unknown which could include rain
This weekend, more precisely from 19 to 21 AprilF1 will stop in Shanghai on the way to Chinese GP. After 5 years, the Chinese track returns to the 2024 F1 calendar. During this period of time, in fact, the COVID pandemic kept the circuit out of the calendar. It is currently spring in the Asian country, with climatic conditions that will be very cool. The surprises, as we have already told you, could not only be on the track but also in the air. Yes, because during the weekend, and especially on Friday, the forecast calls for rain. Not the best if we think that the Sprint Race format will make its seasonal debut this weekend. In fact, with this new type of format the teams will have only one free practice session available to fine-tune the single-seaters.
But we were talking about the weather that could influence the Chinese F1 GP, especially on Friday the conditions could be adverse with gusts of wind around 46 km/h 55% rain risk. Also on Friday, where the free trial and the Sprint Qualifying, temperatures will fluctuate between 19 and 21 degrees. On Saturday, however, the weather conditions will experience a slight improvement with the sky being very cloudy and the gusts of wind blowing above 40 km/h. The temperatures will remain unchanged, always not going above 21 degrees. For Sunday, the day of the race in which the single-seaters will battle, the danger of rain would seem to be far away, but not completely ruled out at the moment.
