The world of the MCU is expanding more and more and now, after having discovered the main protagonists, we also know who the actress who will play the Silver Surfer in Fantastic 4 will be!
The Fantastic Four are a team of superheroes as famous and beloved as the Avengers, which is why expectations and hype for this film are sky high. We discovered, a few weeks ago, the official cast of the 4 protagonists, but now we also know who will play another much loved character: Silver Surfer. However, it seems that the MCU has chosen to bring one to the screen female version of Galactus' herald and the actress chosen for the role is highly respectable. We are talking about Julia Garner, famous for playing the role of Ruth Langmore in the TV series Ozarkfor which she won three Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe for Best Lead Actress in a Drama Series.

Before you get alarmed and cry scandal, this time (fortunately) Disney has chosen not to change the sex of a character. Simply, in the film, Julia Garner will play Shalla-Bala character already existing in the comics, Immortal Empress of Zenn-La and love interest of Norrin Radd, the original Silver Surfer. This could be an interesting twist, showing us a version of a character we love that we've never seen before, which could then introduce the original Silver Surfer later on. So, in short, nothing to worry about and no reason to cry foul, given that they actually didn't touch the original character in the slightest. Julia Garner will then join Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn e Ebon Moss-Bachrach. The film will be directed by Matt Shakmanshowrunner on WandaVisionand the film's release date is set for July 25, 2025.
