After the recognition obtained in the third and fourth quarters of 2022, Fastweb reconfirms its leadership also for the first and second quarters of 2023, receiving the Speedtest Award from Ookla for providing the highest mobile network speed.
Ookla’s study decrees Fastweb as the fastest mobile network in Italy
In the first six months of the year, Ookla compared the results of 294,622 tests carried out by Fastweb customers in Italy with the Speedtest mobile apps, for iOS and Android devices, and calculated each operator’s “Speed Score”. Fastweb mobile network got the best performance in terms of speed with an average value of 97.84 Mbps in download and 12.64 Mbps in upload, totaling a combined “Speed Score” of 91.31, the highest recorded in Italy and 30% higher than the second-ranked operator.
With this second award, Fastweb further consolidates its positioning as a converging player and its technological leadership for the country’s digital transformation, also through the development of the 5G mobile network capable of enabling high-performance new generation mobile services.
