According to what is learned from the auction site, this particular F300 was driven by Schumacher in second place at the 1998 Luxembourg Grand Prix at the Nurburgring circuit. F1 fans will remember that Schumacher conquered the pole position in qualifying for that race, beating Mika Häkkinen, who qualified third in his McLaren-Mercedes. Häkkinen would win, resulting in a dramatic battle for the 1998 championship that saw its epilogue in Suzuka at the Japanese Grand Prix.

This same Ferrari F300 at auction was driven by Schumacher in the “nefarious” GP of Japan, where the German driver gave good hope for a final victory, as he had secured pole position once again. However, during the race, a tire failure, after hitting some debris on the track, forced him to retire, giving Häkkinen victory and the 1998 F1 World Championship.
Details on how the car currently stands are not provided. In racing trim, thea F300 used the 3.0-liter Ferrari 047D V10 engine, which developed around 800 horsepower north of 17,000 rpm. It was the beginning of Ferrari’s V10 era, but that became the basis for Ferrari and Schumacher to absolutely dominate Formula 1 until the first half of the 2000s.
