The Ferrari Thoroughbred it is certainly one of the most anticipated models of 2022. After the images leaked on the net and which partially show the bodywork here is new proof that the SUV is very close to the exit.
Meanwhile the Ferrari has decided to show us something more, or a teaser that unleashes the passion of the Prancing Horse fans. This shot partially reveals the lines of the front of the SUV Thoroughbred.
The image confirms the presence of tapered LED headlights between the air intakes, a solution also adopted for the SF-90 Stradale. There are huge air intakes that are supposed to cool the SUV engine, about which we don’t have reliable data yet.
Ferrari Purosangue: which engine?
Remaining in the realm of hypotheses, there are those who argue that it will be of the 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 engine used in the 296 GTBwhile others believe that in Maranello want to focus on the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, assisted by three electric motors, of the SF90 Stradale. A 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 could power a hypothetical variant at the top of the range, therefore it cannot be ruled out that both versions could be offered in the range.
Unofficial rendering
However, one thing is certain, and that is the fact that it will challenge the likes of Lamborghini Urus and Aston Martin DBX707. At the moment the presentation date is still unknown, but given the recent leaks and this rather revealing teaser, we think the Ferrari Purosangue could be previewed in a few weeks / months, with deliveries likely starting next year.
It should in fact be remembered that Ferrari will present its industrial plan during Capital Markets Day on June 16th. Is this the date chosen for the big announcement? All that remains is to wait, and see if in the meantime other new images arrive from Maranello.
