FIFA 22: new gameplay is coming

EA officially announced FIFA 22 earlier this month. As this is an annual sports franchise, it wasn’t a huge surprise, but it did give us some interesting details about what this new entry will bring to fans’ homes. Kylian Mbappé of Paris Saint-Germain will be the cover star of the game for the second consecutive year, an honor that also received Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo (here you can read the comments of the player last year).

The announcement also dwelt heavily on the game’s HyperMotion technology, which will only be available on PS5, Xbox Series X | S and Stadia. To create HyperMotion, EA performed motion capture on 22 professional footballers and will use machine learning tools to create new animations in real time. The game will also feature a completely rebuilt goalkeeper system, in addition to the usual modes and teams you would expect from a new wntry in the saga, such as Ultimate Team.

Madden 22 was also revealed recently and it looks like some of its new features will be exclusive to next-gen consoles as well, so it looks like this will be a trend for sports games in the near future.
