Producer Craig Perry has officially announced the start of filming on Final Destination 6. This year the horror saga turns 25
The sixth chapter of Final Destination, entitled Bloodlines will arrive in theaters in 2025, marking the 25th anniversary of the debut of the first film. Filming has officially begun, as confirmed by producer Craig Perry on social media. The update posted by the manufacturer says:
After a long and hard time through the pandemic and strikes, the first day of filming finally ended. 2025 will mark the 25th anniversary of the release of the franchise’s first installment. Honoring the occasion with another release in theaters around the world (and in IMAX) is a rare and wonderful thing.
For the moment, Perry also explained, there is no intention of changing the title that has been chosen for three years.
Plot unconfirmed since filming of Final Destination 6 begins
A synopsis was revealed in October, which, however, has not had any confirmation since the start of production. The plot should unfold around 18-year-old Stefani, who has had terrible nightmares about an accident in a tower block in the 1960s where terrible deaths occurred. Her grandmother Esther was involved in this accident, but she was saved from her death fifty years before her even though she is now running out of her time. Although she Esther escaped death until she reached the age of 80, Death itself has now become fierce against the missing victims of the catastrophe of a long time ago, killing them and then hunting down their families. Stefani realizes that her family is not safe and that Death will kill them violently and in random order unless Stefani finds a way to stop it.
