For a trial period of six months, the GLS Italy drivers will be able to drive E-Transit, Ford’s first 100% electric commercial vehicle. But it is the forerunner of a line that will see the introduction of 4 new models by 2024.

With the software for fleet management, it is also possible to monitor movements, make intelligent diagnostics and even predictive maintenance. All on models that can boast a maximum load volume of 15.1 cubic meters.

The autonomy of these models at 184CV is also excellent: you can run 317 km in the WLTP cycle, completing daily activities in one charge. All without consuming fossil fuels and producing carbon dioxide.

Riccardo Magnani, Fleet & Remarketing, Manager of Ford Italy, he explains: “The e-commerce sector has increased exponentially in recent years, as has, consequently, also the work of the drivers for deliveries which, over time, have become more numerous and in increasingly limited perimeters. Choose GLS Italy and its partners as recipients for this program it aims to demonstrate how to increase their productivity in daily activities and make the drivers’ work more efficient ”.

Donato Rulli, Director E2E Quality, Environment, Security & Safety di GLS he comments: “We are very pleased to have entered into a partnership, which will see our Alexandria office play a leading role, with a reliable operator like Ford for our delivery activities”.

The experimentation program aims to involve more and more sectors, from the postal and municipal sectors to public services and last-mile deliveries. For making this whole world that brings products and services to our home greener.
