Finally the final fantasy of fate blooms proud: Forspoken is available, and with it also the launch trailer of the ambitious title
Now that The prophesied is available, the time has come to commemorate its release with the launch trailer. The action role-playing game developed by Luminous Productions and published by Square-Enix will take us into the world of Athia, and although for PC users the wait will continue for a few more hours, the faithful of Final Fantasy on PS5 can already fathom the various ravines of the settings of the case. Comments on how the narrative premise translates into believable dialogue is already being pilloried on Twitter, but it’s on the same social network that Sony has showcased the new video in question.

The launch trailer reminds us that the protagonist at the center of Forspoken is from “our” world. The New Yorker Frey Holland finds himself in the world of Athia after finding Cuff, a mysterious sentient bracelet. The breakup that occurred in Cuff’s home world drove a once peaceful people, the Tantas, to madness. It will be up to Frey to use his magic to fix things. Naturally, the plot also dwells on the reactions of the Big Apple town to all the fantasy conventions new to it, and all the consternation that comes with it. We leave you at post in question.

As we reluctantly anticipated, however, first impressions of the title tend to falter. The gameplay is undoubtedly the spearhead of the game, but most tend not to say the same about the story, dialogues and worldbuilding. For our part, we are confidently waiting for our good Daniele Mastrangeli to tell us about him in the review he is assiduously working on. The game has a DLC coming this summer, namely the prologue In Tanta We Trust preceding the events of the title.
