After the success at the Lovecraft Film Festival, Freeze will arrive in cinemas, succeeding where many predecessors had failed. Rarely films that take part in or even win the film festival dedicated to the legendary horror writer manage to arrive in theaters, but Freeze did it, a film directed by Charlie Always which after its success at the Portland festival is ready to make itself known to the general public as well. We can see the first images with the official trailer of the film, awaiting its arrival in theaters.
Freeze: plot and cast of the film
The film is set in North Polewhere Captain Mortimer, on a rescue mission to find an old friend and his crew, makes a chilling discovery. In fact, his ship remains trapped in the ice of the North Pole and there the captain is attacked by a group of bloodthirsty sea creatures. Thus, the captain and the few survivors of the expedition leave the ship and venture into the ice in search of safety. Between the difficult climatic conditions and hunger, men seek shelter from the terrible creatures, but they risk ending up in their lair.
Directed by Charlie Steeds, the cast of the film consists of: Johnny Vivash (The creature below, Lie low), David Lenik (Robert Reborn, Escape from Hannibal Farm), Beatrice Barrila, Rory Wilton, Jake Watkins, Ricardo Freitas, Sam Lane, Jaime Seal, Jay O’ Connell, Simon Pengelly, Elliot Hadley and Tim Cartwright. The film also contains clear cross-references and references to Lovecraft’s work, a peculiarity that obviously characterizes the films that take part in the event in his honor.
