They are almost an extension of our hands, they are certainly now central objects in our daily lives. We are talking about smartphones and tablets, very powerful tools which, thanks to apps, allow you to do many things such as order groceries directly from home, carry out banking transactions or, for example, manage the home automation of your apartment. But above all they allow you to carve out moments of relaxation and leisure thanks to the many game apps available on the stores of the main operating systems such as the App Store for Apple devices and the Play Store for those linked to Google with Android. It is estimated that there are more than 500 thousand game apps on these stores, naturally divided by category, from card games to puzzle quizzes, from sports games to arcade and simulation games.
Card games
Among the most popular game apps, because they are easy to play, there are those for card games such as briscola, tressette, seven and a half online, Scala 40 and burraco. They can be single game apps or a collection of games perhaps linked to legal online gaming portals, where it is possible to find many gaming variations such as poker, blackjack, but also slot machines, roulette and many other entertainment typical of physical gaming rooms.
Sports games
There are also gaming apps dedicated to sports, especially football, basketball, golf, but also the world of motoring or tennis. Sports is obviously a world that has always been explored by the gaming industry, first in the historic arcades with large cabinets, then we moved on to PCs and gaming consoles. And so the passion for sports games persists even on smartphones and tablets. But there is also NBA 2K Mobile, the official game of the American basketball league, with impressive realism. And again, Golf Clash, the most popular online golf game, where it is possible to start a career or challenge friends or other players in real time.

Challenging but not exhausting, there are puzzle game apps, such as the famous Candy Crush Saga, among the most downloaded games in the history of apps and born from an intuition of an Italian entrepreneur in London almost fifteen years ago. Puzzle games are among the most loved by gamers all over the world because they are truly designed to pass the time and play them in your spare time. They are also games that train the mind and keep the brain active. Also famous is Donut County, a puzzle-style game where you have to dig a hole and make little animals fall into it. Or even Puzzling Peaks, where you have to exploit the laws of physics to pass the levels.
Arcade and action
However, there are those looking for action and adrenaline. And so here are games like Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat, historic fighting games loved by entire generations. Or even a calmer Super Mario Kart, where the famous Italian-American plumber challenges his antagonists and friends from the historical sagas in challenges on karts, in fact. Or Smash It, a game whose objective is to destroy everything found during the levels you face.
