An innovative vehicle that winks at mobility

In Italy the builder Spanish debuts with EXE nerve. The electric scooter that promises to be an ally in traffic and with a unique commercial proposition.

EXE is a GT electric scooter, with very stable, effective and safe LFP batteries. Above all, these can also be purchased with the battery rental formula. And then five years the replaced batteries enter a program to support developing African countries thanks.

All this thanks to an agreement with the EKI Foundation.

In particular, Nerva is a Spanish company born to create innovative vehicles that respect the environment. These designed for sustainable mobility with a positive economic and environmental social impact.

BYD, Nerva’s partner

Among its partners Nerve counts BYD. This deals with the production of the vehicles and above all supplies the innovative battery LFPof which it is the world leader in production.

The EXE vehicle is the first Nerva e-scooter to arrive in Italy.

The features of Nerva EXE

It is a GT scooter designed and built to make urban mobility easier and more comfortable. Its design is captivating and it has a sophisticated level of equipment.

It copes very well with open road driving. In town, EXE proves to be the ideal vehicle for comfort, protection, agility and ease of driving.

Whilst, used in the extra-urban area, in addition to the excellent top speed of 125 km/h, the EXE ensures maximum comfort for the rider and passenger.

Load capacity

L’high load capacity and the arrangement of LFP batteries in the floor allows you to have a very large compartment under the saddle. Where a full-face helmet and a jet helmet can be found, as well as other commonly used objects.

Endowment

Nerva EXE has one socket Easily accessible USB in the back of the shieldand is equipped with fari led with high luminosity both front and back. Instrumentation with panel TFT it also allows the bluetooth connection with the mobile phone.

Chassis

Il chassis if it bases its a structure multitubolare in steel with important reinforcements in the central area and in the steering head, where the four main tubes of the frame join, thus obtaining extraordinary rigidity.
The batteries are housed in the central area, inside the tunnel: a position which favors the centralization of the vehicle’s masses to keep the center of gravity low, increasing its agility and favoring driving balance.
The wheels are 15” (front) and 14” (rear) with 120/70 and 140/70 tires respectively.

The braking is double disc with CBS combined braking system.

Motor

The propulsion unit arranged in a similar way to that of an internal combustion scooter in that it forms, together with the transmission block to the rear wheel, a rigid unit which also acts as a swingarm, closing on the right side by means of a semi-tilt which provides greater torsional rigidity.

This system is much more favorable from the point of view of weight distribution, ease and driving efficiency than the one which provides for housing the engine inside the wheel. And ride comfort is also favored, because this layout makes the work of the rear shock absorbers easier.

Il engine to the rear wheel is transmitted in two stages: first, by a fixed-ratio toothed belt connected to the drive shaft, and then by a reduction gear train connected to the wheel shaft. The elasticity of the drive belt helps to soften and regulate the delivery to the wheel of the high drive torque, characteristic of electric motors.

Finally, the propeller does not require maintenance as it has no brushes (Brushless) and requires only the check the reduction gear drive oil level and belt tension every 5,000 km.

The rated power is of 9 kW (equal to 12.2 HP) with peaks of 12 kW (16.3 HP), while torque reaches 48 Nm at 1,720 rpm.

Driving and reverse modes

EXE offers three driving modes that can be selected using the main switch on the right hand block. There basic driving mode, with which a driving range of up to 150 km is achieved, and the ECO. This mode is suitable for urban traffic as it limits the maximum speed to 50 km/h, while reducing acceleration at the same time.

The driving mode NORMAL makes EXE similar in performance to a conventional 125 scooter. This mode offers a smooth ride without power delivery peaks. The maximum speed is limited to 80 km/h, more than enough to cover the roads leading to big cities.

The range in this mode is 115 km, which also allows the use of EXE by commuters who live in places 30-40 km from major cities to travel daily and return without having to recharge it in the middle of the day.

Finally, the mode SPORT takes full advantage of the power by removing limitations (except those intrinsic to the battery management system that extend its longevity and autonomy). In this mode, a speed of 125 km/h is reached, with a range of 75 km, much more than what urban electric scooters offer.

In any of the driving modes selected and whenever the vehicle is stationary, the reverse gear button can be used to facilitate maneuvering without having to push the vehicle.

The battery

Nerva EXE has two 2.88 kWh LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) batteries for a total of 5.76 kWh. Compared to normal lithium batteries, LFP batteries offer several advantages: high thermal stability (therefore greater safety), longer life (more constant performance over time) and high specific capacity.

The batteries are produced by BYD, the world leader in the production of this specific type of battery and also a giant in the production of vehicles with non-endothermic engines.

BYD also takes care of the assembly of the scooter in its factories.

Nerva guarantees its batteries for 5 years and for the incredible number of at least 6,000 recharge cycles (therefore 900,000 km of use in ECO mode or 690,000 km in NORMAL mode).

Full charge takes 4.2 hours. After 3.3 hours the charge is 80%.

Nerva EXE is equipped with an integrated 1.8 kW battery charger with cable for connection to the home network with Schuko type 2 socket supplied as standard.

Battery rental, the new frontier of the circular economy

EXE nerve is offered with two ways of purchasing. The whole can be purchased in the classic way vehicle at the price of 7,940 eurosor you can just buy the scooter a 5.140 Euro e at the same time rent the batteries for 5 years at the price of 53.80 Euros/month through our partner Rentall which offers a battery renting formula, which is an essential lever for the sale.

Expired i 5 years you can replace the batteries with a new kit e continue with the rentalor pay a residual fee for the purchase of batteries already installed.

The batteries rented and returned to Nerva enter a humanitarian reuse program managed by the EKI Foundation which, once overhauled and reconditioned by the manufacturer, will see them installed in various locations in Africa to make up for the shortages of the electricity grid in developing countries. of development.

Each owner who has joined the initiative will be able to know (via the code of his battery) in which location and for which use his old battery was destined, in order to be sure that the circular economy program inaugurated by Nerva for its batteries is actually carried out.
