At the 2024 Geneva Motor Show, the SAIC Group proudly presented its new creation: the IM L6 electric sedan. IM Motors, founded in 2020 as a joint venture between SAIC, Alibaba and Zhangjiang Hi-Tech, has already made headlines with the launch of the L7 sedan in 2022 and subsequently with the LS7 and LS6 SUVs. The IM L6, with dimensions of 4,931 mm in length, 1,960 mm in width and 1,474 mm in height, features a design that blends classic sedan elegance with details that are almost reminiscent of a coupé.

On the roof, we note the presence of the LiDAR sensor, which supports advanced driver assistance features. The interior of the IM L6 follows the minimalist style already appreciated in the L7, with a large display that dominates the dashboard. The car will be available in different variants, with one or two electric motors. The dual-motor version should reach a total power of 579 kW, allowing acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 3 seconds.

As for autonomy, they are expected two versions for the European market: one with a mileage of 600 km according to the WLTP cycle and another that goes up to 800 km. The latter boasts a battery with semi-solid state technology, available with 90 or 100 kWh accumulators. The anticipation for the debut of the IM L6 on the European market is palpable, with enthusiasts eager to learn more about this new electric model which promises exceptional performance and record-breaking autonomy.
