Elden Ring continues to be extremely talked about these days and l’hype around its launch it is becoming more and more present. In the past few hours George Martin has thought about adding fuel to the fire, sharing some more details about his involvement in Elden Ring. In fact, we remind you that FromSoftware contacted the US writer to elaborate on the lore of the game.
Elden Ring: George Martin is thrilled
Going a little deeper into the matter, Martin talked about his involvement in the development of the video game, explaining that he is thrilled with the work done with Hidetaka Miyazaki and FromSoftware, although video games aren’t exactly his favorite medium.
“A few years ago, Hidetaka Miyazaki and his incredible team of game designers, creators of the Dark Souls video game series, contacted me from Japan to ask me to help them create the backstory and story of a new game they were working on, Elden Ring. – explains Martin in his blog – Miyazaki and his Fromsoftware team were doing groundbreaking things with their gorgeous style, and what they wanted from me was just some world-building: a deep, dark, resonant world to serve as the basis for the game they had planned to create. And as is well known, I love to create worlds and write imaginary stories. So I did my part, and handed my work to my new friends in Japan, and they took inspiration from there. And then the years passed. Video games are as big on a production level as movies these days (even bigger, actually)… and they take just as much time to design and build. “
We remind you that Elden Ring is expected next February 25, 2022 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, PS4, PS5 and PC after being postponed from the initial release date of January 2022.
