With CinemaCon in Las Vegas taking place this Thursday April 11th, it seems pretty obvious that they will finally show the first trailer for the film. Gladiator 2 is a direct sequel to the first film, starring an adult Lucio who idolized the protagonist of the first film, Maximus Decimus Meridio. The story is set 15 years after the events of the first chapter and will see Lucio follow in the footsteps of his hero who saved his life, together with his mother, sacrificing himself for them to redeem himself for not being able to save his wife and son. The protagonist will be played by Paul Mescal and in the cast we will also find Denzel Washington, Pedro Pascal, May Calamawy, Peter Mensah, Matt Lucas, Lior Raz e Tim McInnery. We have then Joseph Quinn and Fred Hechinger who will play i co-emperors Caracalla and Geta.
