The Disney + platform never ceases to surprise us, adding the TV series to the rich list of the catalog Godfather of Harlem. Starring the Oscar-winning actor Forest Whitaker, the series will be visible from August 18 in the Star section of Disney +.

Based on real facts and events from the 1960s in the Harlem neighborhood of New York. The criminal boss Bumpy Johnson after years in prison, he returns to the neighborhood he once ruled, finding it totally in chaos. The Italian mafia controls the streets, to regain power Bumphy he faces the Genovese, a feared crime family too. Driven by a brutal battle and his spirit, the boss forms an alliance with the radical preacher Malcolm X (Nigél Thatch), bringing Malcolm’s political rise in the sights of social upheaval and a mafia war that threatens to destroy the city.
The hard sagainst between the criminal underworld and the civil rights movement of the African American community, during one of the most turbulent periods in American history.
Created and designed by a Chris Brancato e Paul Eckstein (Narcos) sees Forest Whitaker himself as an executive producer on the series.
