After much speculation it is official: one year after the release of the movie Godzilla vs Kong, the MonsterVerse will also arrive on Call Of Duty: Warzone, starting from11 maggio 2022. To confirm this is a trailer, which actually reveals little to us, but which has a name: Operation Monarch. In the video we see the two monsters preparing to face each other, portending the devastation that will also come in-game.

“Only after some time did we realize that the storm was upon us,” says the voiceover of the trailer. “Something far more powerful and frightening than anything else we could have ever hoped to understand.” At these words we see the mammoth King Kong grabbing a plane from the sky and crashing it into the side of a mountain. Only then do we see Godzilla emerging from the ocean, crawling towards the great ape. What happens then you can imagine (or watch).
This project is just the latest of the many crossover initiatives promoted by COD. Just in these days both battle royale and Vanguard have welcomed none other than Snoop Dogg, with a series of items, objects, skins and cosmetics dedicated to the rapper. In the past we have also seen the appearance of other universes, such as the anime Attack of the Giants and the film franchise Scream.
