Google Messages: Reactions are available with any emoji
Google takes a feature already popular in other messaging apps for its Messages for Android devices. Indeed, with the new version of the app, it is possible add any emoji as a reaction to received messages. In this way, there is more space for the user to express his mood using a reaction to the message.
The system is similar to the one introduced some time ago in WhatsApp. Just press and hold on the received message to access the reactions menu. This novelty is still being released and is not yet available to all users. It is, in fact, about an implementation still in the early stages which can only be used if the two users involved in the conversation use the same app.
Message exchanges between Android and iOS are still not fully supported.
