Gotham Knights has been postponed to 2022, but a concept art has generated a new rumor regarding the period in which the release date will be set
Among the Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment titles most notable in release in recent months, there was also the game Gotham Knights, originally planned for this year and then postponed to 2022, even if it had not yet been well defined in which period the release date would be set. The postponement of this game is just one of many that occurred in the current year, and it was motivated with the need for more time to produce one of the best possible experiences for gamers.
The revelation of the possible release date of Gotham Knights
While Gotham Knights has a shifted release period to 2022, there is no shortage of it anyway new details and information about the game: recently we were given the opportunity to see the official cover of the open-world action title, and it was revealed how it will be disconnected from the famous Arkham saga, and therefore will not be set in “Arkhamverso”. In the story we are going to play various DC super-heroic roles of less relevance but as much heroism, including Robin, Batgirl, Nightwing and Red Hood, reunited to defend Gotham after Batman’s tremendous loss. Anyway, new rumors suggest that the release will happen for spring of 2022. This can be deduced from a concept art published on the website of Jin Park, art director and designer who worked on the brand and the artistic direction of the title.
In the concept art a logo is visible, where in the lower part it is written “2022 Spring”: this means that Gotham Knights could be released starting from March 20 until the end of June. The page now it is no longer viewable, but some screenshots can prove the actual presence of these images. In addition to the concept art, in some notes Park stated what this will be like a new phase within a franchise that has always been all about one figure above, now replaced with the introduction of four main protagonists. Each of them will set out on different journeys, leading them to become gods Knights standing still.
