Nathan Fillion would like to collaborate again with James Gunn after the cameo in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, taking part in a DC Universe project
Among the many cameos in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, one of the funniest is certainly that of Nathan Fillion, the unforgettable captain of the Serenity. Talented actor protagonist of the long-lived and appreciated Castle series, in the most recent Rookie and in the film Saving Private Ryan, he is not at all new to this type of appearances, having also appeared in the previous two chapters of the trilogy as well as, in a real albeit secondary part , in James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad. And precisely with regard to the director, the multifaceted actor has spent words that seem to open a gap in his possible appearances in cinecomic.
Nathan Fillion: the cameo in Guardians of the Galaxy
Nathan Fillion has in fact stated that he is willing to follow James Gunn anywhere. During a recent interview for ComicBook.com the actor has in fact told of his potential future in the world of cinecomics, admitting that he is willing to return to a project based on comics, as long as it leads him to collaborate again with the director
James Gunn has a tendency to re-collaborate with actors he’s directed in previous films, and that’s something I totally support (…) So I would never say no to James Gunn, I can only say this.
As we said, in reality Nathan Fillion has already made his debut in the DC Universe, taking part, albeit briefly, in The Suicide Squad in the role of The Detachable Kid:
What if I have a favorite character out of all the ones James Gunn has created for me? The Detachable Kid is pretty funny. Just for the costume, not to mention the silly things I had to do. He fulfilled many of the desires that the little boy who lived inside of me had. So I will say TDK.
With the end of the Marvel trilogy dedicated to the Guardians of the Galaxy, the end of Nathan Fillion’s brief experience in the MCU will therefore come. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will also mark the end of the involvement of some historical actors of the MCU, such as Zoe Saldana, who has already expressed a desire not to return as Gamora.
