Confirmed by the Arc System Works team that the crossplay functionality for Guilty Gear Strive is currently under development
About a month after its release and before the arrival of its first DLC character, we have confirmation that Guilty Gear Strive will also implement the function of crossplay. This was confirmed during an interview on Tumblr by a member of the Arc System Works team, the development studio that oversaw the creation of the title.

Regarding the implementation of the crossplay functionality in Guilty Gear Strive, the developer interviewed he has declared:
We are striving to achieve this and are carrying out all necessary verification processes. However, there are still many practical problems, such as the scheduling and running costs of the corresponding servers. It will take some time before we can proceed with the final announcement.
Despite the confirmation of his arrival in the future, there is a concrete possibility that crossplay will not be made available in the short term. During the question and answer, it was then confirmed that the functionality currently being tested only concerns the PlayStation versions of the game and that, consequently, that for PC will be excluded.
Guilty Gear Strive, which just a month after its release has already sold more than 300,000 copies, is a title belonging to the fighting game genre.
