Recently, 343 Industries confirmed that the PC version of Halo Infinite will have, among the many exclusive features, also Ray Tracing, but unfortunately not at launch: let’s find out together the various details
After endless waits and unfortunate postponements, 343 Industries is preparing to launch the flagship title of Microsoft exclusives, Halo Infinite, on December 8th on Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One and PC. Recent rumors would like an interesting trailer dedicated to the campaign coming in the next period, perhaps in conjunction with the event announced by Microsoft for the twenty years of the Xbox division, but nothing for sure. What is certain is instead that, in the past few hours, the developers have released an extended trailer full of details on the PC version of Halo Infinite, on which features will be included starting from launch or in the following months.
The support for ultrawide monitors, the presence of extensive customization options, both graphics and performance and anti-cheat, for example, are all features confirmed by 343 Industries since the launch. What will be missing, unfortunately, is the support for Ray Tracing. In a recent post on Xbox Wire, the company confirmed the absence of the feature on day one, but also reassured users by stating that it is currently one of the priorities for development.

343 Industries stands in fact “Working hard” with AMD to be able to bring support to Ray Tracing as soon as possible, even if half a word has not yet been said about the possibility of the arrival of this feature also for the Xbox Series X version | S of the title. In short, the company has several promises to keep towards users, considering that even the co-op campaign and the Forge mode will be absent at the time of launch!
We will have to wait for what concerns the Ray Tracing in Halo Infinite, in short, but the fact remains that the release of the title will be one of the most important of this end of 2021, all dedicated to postponements.
