Advanced technologies available as standard
To help customers of every business increase the productivity of their connected fleets. Thus, Ford Pro decides to expand the digital capabilities of Transit and E-Transit commercial vehicles. New for 2024 in Europe include:

Designed for greater performance and efficiency
Dal 2024 on the Transit will be standard a full suite Of advanced driver assistance systems for driver and load safety, which includes Pre-Collision Assist with Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Keeping Alert & Aid, and Intelligent Speed Assist. Driver assistance packages include Blind Spot Information System with Cross Traffic Alert, Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control with Lane Centering and Stop & Go, and Auto Park Assist with a 360° camera, to further reassure drivers when maneuvering and help reduce downtime, repairs and insurance costs for fleet managers.
MY 2024 introduces a new option of eight-speed automatic transmission for front-wheel drive Transits, with the aim of improving performance, efficiency and towing capacity. The new transmission maximizes the capacity of towing up to 6,000 kg GTM (Maximum mass with trailer) – an increase of 1,750 kg.
The new wheel hubs and the innovative braking system they reduce weight by up to 27 kg, depending on the vehicle configuration. The design also makes it easier to replace the brakes, reducing maintenance time by up to two hours for replacing all four rotors. The new 16-inch wheels are available as standard on MY 2024.
For front-wheel drive models, there is also a the larger front axle for heavy duty, which increases the maximum weight of the front axle to 2,000 kg from 1,850 kg, expanding the body options and optimizing, at the same time, load distribution requirements. Ford Pro expects this to be particularly beneficial for applications such as animal transport or low sill vans, which require greater accessibility to the load area and a high payload.
The new Transit and E-Transit models will be available to order from Q4 2023 and will go into production next year, with deliveries expected from H2 2024. Since its launch in 2022, E-Transit has become the leader in the two-tonne electric vehicle segment, accounting for more than 50% of all EVs sold in Europe in its class.
