The collaboration between Hertz and Garage Italia goes on. This week, in fact, two new sports cars created for Selezione Italia were presented in the characteristic setting of the Vallelunga racetrack. The new sports cars are a real tribute to brand Abarth, symbol of the world of compact sports cars.
New Garage Italia projects for Hertz unveiled
The first project resulting from the partnership between Hertz Italia and Garage Italia is the Fiat 500 “Carlo” Icon-e. It is a restomod that comes from the restoration of the donor cars of the 60s that become ecological thanks to an electric unit developed by Newtron Group. Also noteworthy is the debut of the Abarth 595 Turismo K-Herts. The production model comes equipped with Kers and is made in a limited edition for Hertz. The car can count on a hybridization kit with conversion to mild hybrid technology. Note that the new proposals are available in five liveries:
- Turbine – inspired by the 1954 Fiat Turbina
- Thunder – inspired by the 1959 Abarth 750 GT Zagato
- Lightning – inspired by the Fiat 131 Abarth Olio Fiat
- Kappa – inspired by the super classic Robe di Kappa livery
- Rent a Racer – inspired by the 1966 American Hertz project

Massimiliano Archiapatti, General Manager and CEO of Hertz Italia, underlines: “I am happy and very satisfied that we have managed to characterize the second half of 2021 with these exclusive innovations that our Garage Italia partners have created for us. Victor Jesuitov, CEO of Garage Italia, adds: “Our unity of purpose today takes the form of two new mini fleets that enrich the range of Selezione Italia, in the sign of a common attention to the theme of sustainable mobility through electric redevelopment and ‘implementation of new technologies such as Kers, without leaving aside the creative and playful spirit that distinguishes every Garage Italia project. “
