Less than a month after release, Hogwarts Legacy has already passed 267 million hours played. The game, released on February 10 by Warner Bros. Games and developed by Avalanche Softwareconsists of an action role-playing game set in a vast open world in the magical world of Harry Potter, but the events narrated take place approximately 100 years before the story narrated in the books of J.K. Rowling. Despite this, the incredible reproduction of the Hogwarts castle and the surrounding suburbs, the constant references to the main saga and the accuracy of the gameplay have literally driven the fans crazy.
At the moment, since less than a month has passed since the release, we do not know the sales data, but we have other factors that indicate the extent of the phenomenon. Suffice it to say that the release of the video game led to a peak in visits to the official Harry Potter Fandom, which recorded the highest figures for more than 7 years.
