With the imminent release of Hogwarts Legacy one wonders if the cross platform will be enabled and if it will also affect the saves. Let’s find out together
The release of the new title of the boys of Avalanche Software is now imminent, at least for the latest generation consoles. Hogwarts Legacy it will indeed come up PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC on February 10th and many are wondering if there will be the cross platform, if you can play Quidditch or, more simply, what are the recommended requirements for the PC version. If we have already answered the latter two in our articles, we will deal with the cross platform issue in this article.
Will there be cross platform in Hogwarts Legacy?
To put it bluntly, unfortunately, Hogwarts Legacy does not support this mechanic at the time of writing this article. This means that two players will not be able to communicate and play with friends who do not have the same gaming platform. Why this choice by the developers?
The reason is soon to be said. Hogwarts Legacy it is primarily intended as a single player experience. In fact, there will be no cooperative options available at launch, nor are any planned for the future. So the players they will have to fend for themselves in their adventurecontrary to what happens to Harry in the saga that we all know.
The developers later also confirmed the fact that there will be no cross-platform saves at launch. This simply means that those who start their adventure on an old generation console will finally be able to buy the new one he will not be able to resume play from the point at which he had arrivedbut he’ll have to start all over again. Obviously, if the developers change their mind, we will keep you informed.
We remind you that the game will be available from February 10 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. It will come up PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on April 4thwhile for the version Nintendo Switch will have to wait for July 25th.
