Hogwarts Legacy is almost upon us, but will you be able to play Quidditch on the new Avalanche Software title? Let’s find out together
After an initial distribution of copies of Hogwarts Legacy to some content creators, everyone is wondering by now if you can play Quidditch. Very close to the market launch of the new title of Avalanche Software and this question seems to grip all fans of the Harry Potter saga. Quidditch, in fact, turns out to be an important piece in the wizarding world, as well one of the main features that made young and old dream.
Will we then be able to play Quidditch at Hogwarts Legacy?
Although the Quidditch pitch is present in the most famous school of magicians in the world, unfortunately the latter will only be open to visitors. It will therefore not be possible to play the wizarding sport. This news had already been revealed in one of the first showcases dedicated to the Avalanche Software title. However, as we can see in the tweet below, the arena is really well done in every detail and inside we will also find our schoolmates.

However, it was precisely these images that sparked the imagination of the most ardent fans they hope to the last to be able to fly into the field pulling the quaffle into the o rings catching the coveted golden snitch. In fact it seems quite cruel to see the field there at hand and not be able to use it. The presence of this structure, however, was mandatory to give a sense of fidelity to what is the most famous work of fiction for children in the world.
It will therefore not be possible to play Quidditch at the launch of the title. However, this does not allow us to hope that this modality will not go further, perhaps through some post-launch update or even with some dedicated DLC that unlocks the mechanics. But these are currently only speculations. So we just have to cross our fingers and hope to one day see this pitch full of fans cheering on one of the two teams.
There will still be plenty to do in the castle, and while a wizarding world without Quidditch is now unthinkable, surely we will not be bored during our adventure. We remind you that the game will be available from February 10 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. It will come up PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on April 4thwhile for the version Nintendo Switch will have to wait for July 25th.
