Honor launched its first foldable smartphone with a dedicated event in China, Honor Magic V. The device offers an external display and a foldable internal screen that reaches 7.9 in. In addition, it has all the features you could want in a top of the range: very powerful processor, fast charging at 66W and even three sensors for the 50MP camera.
Honor Magic V, a truly top of the range folding
With a special event in China (which you can see on YouTube here), Honor has launched its first leaflet. A device that aims to compete with the best, including Samsung’s Fold3, with which it shares the form factor. In fact you find one external screen from classic smartphone, but you can open the device to find a large one display pieghevole.
Honor started the event by talking about software, showing just how Magic its version of the Android OS really is. A great focus on Magic Live, the artificial intelligence system that allows you to make the most of Honor smartphones and the Magic UI, including the new Magic V. But then comes the real protagonist of the event.
Two really impressive screens
By showing the Magic V screen, Honor immediately shows how much it cares about the launch of this foldable smartphone. The external display from 6.45 in has a resolution of 1080 x 2560 pixel e ratio 21:9. The refresh rate is 120Hz. The internal and folding one, on the other hand, once opened, reaches a 7.9 in with a resolution of 1.984 x 2.272 pixels with density 381 ppi. The refresh rate reaches 90Hz.
The company assures that the external screen is five times stronger than its competitors. So much so that when the CEO of Honor George Zhao he dropped it on the Chinese stage, no visible sign was seen. The folding hinge for the screen should also withstand 200 thousand openings and closings, without ever closing completely to avoid creases with a special mechanism. But keeping the profile of the smartphone thin (it does not exceed the 14,3 mm).

Honor has announced that the new foldable smartphone, in addition to two screaming screens, will also have a processor Qualcomm SM8450 Snapdragon 8 Gen1. The RAM will go up to 12GB, with 256 or 512GB of available memory. The battery is also excellent 4.750mAh, with recharging a 66W.
On the back of the smartphone you will find ben 3 cameras, all 50MP. In this way the quality will be very high for both the sensor wide angle f / 1.9, 23mm, with PDAF, Laser AF, OIS, which for the tele f/2.0 e l’ultragrandangolare, f / 2.2. In short, Honor wanted to exaggerate for this Magic V, which has really screaming specifications. At the moment there is no official news on the possible arrival of the smartphone in our country. We will keep you posted.
