Through a press release released recently, Mattel and Milestone have officially announced the Hot Wheels Unleashed Design Battle, a contest in which players from all over the world will be able to design a livery via the in-game editor. Since the official launch on 30 September 2021, Hot Wheels Unleashed it has already totaled more than one million copies sold. Whether it is thanks to the power of the Mattel brand or thanks to the quality of the racing game offered by Milestone’s work, the information is provided to us by a official press release spread in the past few hours. Through this press release, Hot Wheels Unleashed was also officially announced Design Battle, a contest in which players from all over the world can participate, with a somewhat prestigious award.
Hot Wheels Unleashed: all the details of the Design Battle
The rules of Design Battle are very simple: the participants will have to design one livery for Hot Wheels car model Rodger Dodger using the in-game editor. The winner will receive a prestigious award: they will see their Rodger Dodger transformed into a real Hot Wheels toy (1:64 scale) available for purchase worldwide starting December 2022. To get a better idea of what it is, and to inspire the creative vein of the community, below you can see the work of Van Orton Design, a duo of Italian designers.
You can participate in the contest right now until February 14, 2022, on all platforms for which the game is available (ie PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, PC and Switch). The winning model will be chosen by one jury made up of leading figures in Mattel’s management, namely Ted Wu, Bryan Benedict, Bryan Benedict and Jerry Thienprasiddhi.
