Hyundai: a lighter racing car

The new Hyundai Ioniq 5 N has had some changes compared to the version intended for road users. This one in fact weighs 300 kg less, or 1,969 kg. It achieves this weight despite the presence of a specific body kit equipped with aerodynamic bumpers, a large rear wing and improved wheel arches. This lower weight is characterized by carbon fiber bonnet, a lighter material, along with polycarbonate windows. Furthermore, it also has 18″ forged wheels with slick tires and has a super spartan cabin to keep the weight even further down. Finally it has a complete protective cage and a high voltage shutdown system. Other changes concern the adjustable suspension with two-level shock absorbers, a high voltage indicator and a charging port on the back of the car. Continue to have a dual clutch automatic transmission and they also confirmed the presence ofN Grin Boostwhich unlocks full power for 10 seconds.

We will see the new Hyundai Ioniq 5 N at work for the first time April 27 in the first round of the 2024 Hyundai N Festival, which will be held in South Korea at the Inje Speedium.
