Netflix announced, via press release, that the second season of I Hate Christmas will be available from 7 December 2023 in all countries where the service is active. After the success of the first season, Gianna’s misadventures return, who seems to finally be able to face his first Christmas as a couple. But once again it will be Christmas that messes up the cards, and Gianna will find herself having to deal with a new countdown among a thousand unexpected events.

Pilar Fogliati returns to the role of Gianna, supported by Beatrice Arnera (Look), Fiorenza Pieri (Margherita), Glen Blackhall (Umberto), Nicolas Maupas (Davide), Massimo Rigo (Pietro), Sabrina Paravicini (Marta), Simonetta Solder (the Head Nurse). They also take over the cast Pierpaolo Spollon (Filippo), Chiara Bono (Monica), Matteo Martari (Alessandro), Jenny DeNucci (Star) e Fortunato Cerlino (Elio).
The second season of I hate Christmas, produced by Luca Bernabei and Matilde Bernabei, and directed by Laura Chiossone. Elena Bucaccio is the Head Writer. The screenplay of the first episode is by Elena Bucaccio, Costanza Cerasi and Chiara Villa, that of episodes 2 and 5 is by Viola Rispoli, that of episodes 3 and 4 by Silvia Leuzzi and that of the sixth is by Elena Bucaccio and Costanza Cerasi.
The synopsis of the second season of I Hate Christmas is as follows:
Who rang at Gianna’s door on Christmas Eve? The time has finally come to find out. A year has passed since that fateful evening, and we find our Gianna who, surprisingly, is no longer single. For the first time, the approaching Christmas seems to smile on her, because as we know, Christmas loves couples, right? But it will be the latter, once again, who messes up her cards, causing her to make an unforgivable mistake that will break her relationship. Just at the moment in which everything seemed to be in place, a new countdown will start again: Gianna, in fact, knows that she needs the magic of Christmas to win her ex back, and, for this reason, she wants to do it by Christmas Eve dinner which, at Belotti’s house, it’s the dinner that fixes everything. A dinner that, this year, she has to organize and which, as we will see, brings with it more than one unexpected event. With the help of her friends, Margherita and Titti and a bizarre new neighbor with her teenage daughter, Gianna will understand that love is like Santa’s Sleigh: when it is there, it is impossible not to recognize it.
