I Wonder Pictures takes the stage at the Rome Film Festival!

Alba Rohrwacher therefore won the “Monica Vitti” award as best actress for My Hair Hurts by Roberta Torre. A very poetic result, considering that the film is actually a tribute to Monica Vitti. Alba Rohrwacher plays Monica, a woman who loses her memory and finds a way to give meaning back to her life identifying with the characters in the films played by Vitti. He dresses like her, imitates her, recreates scenes from her films. Edoardo (Filippo Timi), who loves her deeply, lets this game become their new reality.

So, from the stage, Alba Rohrwacher commented:

I thank Roberta Torre for her visionary nature, for her courage to dare, for having moved me from myself and for having made me land on her planet (Torre). Thanks to Filippo Timi, my dearest travel companion. Thanks to Monica Vitti whose charm enchanted me. Thanks to Monica Vitti who accompanied us step by step, who nourished my Monica and every day she helped me find the Meaning. Thanks to this kind film. To this kind character. Long live the power of kindness, which all of us human beings too often forget.

Roberta Torre instead he declared:

I thank Alba again for accepting this difficult challenge. Confronting the myth of Vitti was an act of courage. This is why the recognition, which is also dedicated to Monica Vitti, is even more significant. Alba confirms herself as the extraordinary actress that she is. The film had the challenge of creating a character who was not an imitation of the Vitti myth, but who reinvented him. And Alba hit the mark. Long live Alba, long live Monica.

After being awarded at the Karlovy Vary festival, Herbert Nordrum (already the protagonist of The Worst Person in the World) wins the “Vittorio Gassman” award in Rome Best Actor for his performance in The Hypnosis by Ernst De Geera Swedish satire in which Herbert demonstrates a perfect balance between silences, measured expressions or unexpected attitudes.

André and Vera are a couple of young entrepreneurs who have the opportunity to present their new app to an audience of potential investors as part of a prestigious competition. Before the event, however, Vera turns to a hypnotherapist to quit smoking. From that moment, his attitude changes radically and André also begins to behave unexpectedly.
