Area X is an initiative of Intesa Sanpaolo Assicura which aims to spread the culture of Protection, focusing on Esports to involve the new generations. The goal is to make young people aware of respect for and the importance of facing challenges, including digital ones, within a safe environment. Learning to manage issues related to the sector means preventing the risks and dangers deriving from the incorrect use of digital platforms. On the other hand, the professional video game sector is growing rapidly and mainly involves players belonging to the Z and Alpha generations. In 2022 alone, the sector generated an audience, prize money and sponsorships comparable to those of the largest “traditional” sporting events.
