Good news for the Italian auto industry: He had a drinkin its Piedmont plant, will produce electric car batteries that will support ultra-fast charging. These batteries will be made, under license, using the technology of the Israeli startup StoreDot which promises record reloading performance.
Italvolt will produce ultra-fast charging batteries for the electric cars of the future
L’agreement between StoreDot and Italvolt will allow the latter to produce batteries for electric cars with support for ultra-fast charging. Taking advantage of the technology developed by StoreDot, in fact, it will be possible to obtain a range of 100 milestherefore equal to about 160 kilometres, in just 5 minutes of charging in order to solve one of the main problems of the electrics.
This objective will be achieved, according to the StoreDot roadmap, by 2024. Subsequently, further steps of the technology are planned which will guarantee 100 miles of autonomy with 2 minutes of recharging. Italvolt will produce batteries with StoreDot technology in Italy, contributing to the transformation of the Italian four-wheeler industry.
