KTM 1290 Super Duke R 2022 is updated in colors and suspensions

KTM updates its “beast” 1290 Super Duke R for the model that will go to dealerships in 2022 with new color options and a EVO version which includes the second generation of semi-active WP suspension.

For model year 2022, KTM has thought of only two new color options, one which is a mix of blue and orange and another in silver and orange. Obviously, the orange multitubular chassis, present in all the sportiest models, could not be missing.

Mechanically, the new KTM 1290 Super Duke R 2022 is based on the specs of the 2020 model. Therefore, it will continue to rely on the 1301 cc two-cylinder LC8 block. This develops a power of 177 CV a 9.500 giri/min and a maximum torque of 140 Nm at 8,000 g / min. All this is completed with an exhaust system prepared for the occasion and which, optionally, it can be associated with an Akrapovic release as part of the KTM Power Parts customization program.

New ‘Quick Turn’ throttle control, whose total travel has been reduced by 7 ° and is now completed in 65 °. which prevents the rider from twisting the wrist excessively and dropping the elbow when accelerating hard.
