Find the Notebook that best suits your needs
Lenovo’s new workstations have a new chassis design and advanced thermal solutions. Plus, they have BMC capabilities for simplified remote system monitoring. These next-generation workstations meet the growing demands for power, performance and speed that different professionals and businesses have. For example, leverage virtual and mixed reality experiences, virtual manufacturing, machine learning, data science, computer-aided engineering (CAE), reality capture, and artificial intelligence.
Rob Herman, vice president of the Workstation and Client AI Business Unit at Lenovo, explains: “These new desktop workstations have been meticulously designed on customer needs in order to meet the desired business outcomes and offer innovative new solutions that our customers can also enjoy in the future as the workloads increase in complexity. We have worked closely with Intel®, NVIDIA and Aston Martin to ensure these new systems offer the very best in form and function, combining a premium chassis with ultra high-end graphics, memory and processing power.”
Collaboration with Aston Martin
Lenovo worked together with the well-known manufacturer of luxury sports cars, Aston Martin, to create a series of high-performance workstations. The goal was to combine Lenovo’s iconic red language with Aston Martin’s design philosophy, offering maximum performance and advanced customization. Engineers from both companies have collaborated to create a new tool-less frame design that offers flexibility and improved ergonomics.
The chassis of the workstation was directly inspired by the 3D grid of the Grand Tourism DBS of Aston Martin, applying high-performance automotive design to a work desktop. The openings of larger 3D hexagonal ventilation and redesigned wind deflectors, together with Lenovo’s patented three-channel cooling system allow for unhindered airflow. This ensures maximum intake of cold air and exhaust of hot air. The chassis maximizes CPU, GPU, memory and storage performance. For truly outstanding performance.
Cathal Loughnane, director of Aston Martin Partnerships, explains: “Working together to design Lenovo’s new ThinkStation chassis has been an incredible three-year journey. As Lenovo workstation customers, this project was a unique opportunity to create a high-performance system that we will use to design and develop our high-performance vehicles.”
