Lucifer is a television series created by Tom Kapinos. The first episode of the series it aired on Fox on January 25, 2016. This is the television transposition of the comic of the same name, published by Vertigo and written by Mike Carey, starring the character of Lucifer, a supporting character in Neil Gaiman's Sandman comic. The series opens in 2011 when Lucifer decides to leave his kingdom in the company of the demon Mazikeen. The two settled in Los Angeles, opening a nightclub called Lux which quickly became known and frequented by many. Five years after leaving Hell, a dear friend of Lucifer's is killed and so he meets detective Chloe Jane Decker. The detective seems to be immune to Lucifer's powers and, moreover, it seems that her proximity also makes him vulnerable. From here on it will be a succession of events that become increasingly bizarre also thanks toappearance of other characters from Lucifer's universe and family.
