Mario Party Superstars: A new trailer shows more minigames

A new trailer straight from Japan shows us the other minigames coming to Mario Party Superstars, among the hundred overall

Despite a not-so-massive presence at the Tokyo Game Show (in favor of a Nintendo Direct and whatever awaits us on Tuesday), the Big N still released a new presentation trailer per Mario Party Superstars. The video is in Japanese and showcases some of the boards revealed so far, but there is also some unreleased material about the new minigames. We have included it below. However, “new” is relative: we remember that both the scoreboards and the minigames intend to replicate, we hope with more success, the same experiment as The Top 100 on 3DS.

The new Mario Party Superstars trailer

What we actually mean is that Mario Party Superstars (for those not already in the know) aims to include one hundred minigames from past chapters, and the same goes for the five billboards that the new trailer showcases. We have seen the boards dedicated to Yoshi and Boo during the Direct, while the minigames themselves vary from Mushroom Mix-Up to Shy Guy Says (to which the title for Switch will give a title in Italian for the first time, given the localization) . There’s also Face Lift, which like the original pays homage to the iconic Super Mario 64 title screen (but with Bowser).

Not only will the entire experience be enjoyable in a no-compromise online, but the game will also support local wireless communication with other consoles. Of course, though, it wouldn’t be Mario Party if you couldn’t all play together on the same platform. Players can face off on different boards or dive headlong into mini-game paths, in which to survive as long as possible. The game will be released on October 29 for the hybrid console of the Kyoto giant, so we invite you to stay tuned: at the end of the month you may also find a nice review waiting for you.
