Insomniac Games is developing the game Marvel’s Wolverine, curated by Creative Director Brian Horton and Game Director Cameron Christian, who most recently oversaw the development of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. In fact, the company recently shared a 45-second trailer that offers a broad overview of the intricate world in which the game is set. What amazed, however, was not so much the anticipations of the gameplay, as the fact that the title will be a ‘absolute exclusive for PS5.

“Marvel’s Wolverine is a game directed by Brian Horton (Creative Director) and Cameron Christian (Game Director), who recently led the creative efforts of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, a game we’re extremely proud of here at Insomniac. As with all of our Spider-Man games, our goal is not only to respect the DNA of what makes the character so popular, but also to seek opportunities to revamp him and make him truly reflect the spirit of Insomniac. Although Marvel’s Wolverine is still in the early stages of development, from what I’ve seen of the emotional storytelling and cutting-edge gameplay, the team is already creating something truly special. ”
Thus an Insomniac executive announced the game in development for PlayStation 5. From what we know, the title could be released in 2024, anticipated in 2023 by the release of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Apparently, both are PS5 exclusives, which means that PS4 players will not be able to experience the game in any way. And as absurd as it may sound to you, it’s a fairly obvious choice. Over the years, it is likely that PlayStation 4 titles will become increasingly rare, giving way to those for the next-gen console.
