2K developers announced today that Michael Jordanhands down the most popular basketball player in the history of the game, will be featured on the cover of NBA 2K23 Michael Jordan Edition e NBA 2K23 Championship Edition. The announcement comes accompanied by an official trailer, in which we see images of the real # 23 of the Chicago Bulls alternating with those of its videogame transposition.
During his career Michael Jordan has been 14 times NBA All-Star champion, 5 times Kia NBA MVP, 6 times NBA world champion. He is also part of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

In addition to being one of the most loved and recognized sportsmen in the world, Jordan has contributed enormously to the success of the NBA as a global phenomenon. An iconic athlete, famous for his constant ability to challenge human limits (as well as his own). Like when he decided, on the threshold of 40 years, to return to the NBA court in 2001.
To celebrate the new NBA 2K23 videogame, which bears his beloved in the title 23, the videogame franchise has decided to pay tribute to MJ, who thus returns to be the protagonist of the game’s covers. Previously Jordan had already appeared on the covers of NBA 2K11, NBA 2K12 and NBA 2K16 Special Edition.
The Jordan Challenges are back too
The new videogame chapter will also reintroduce the Jordan Challengewhich will allow players to relive (and replay) 15 iconic moments in Michael Jordan’s career. This is a game mode that had debuted in NBA 2K11, but which then only featured 10 moments. These will benefit from a rebuild using modern technologies, with the addition of five new challenges to further deepen MJ’s career.
The Jordan Challenges start with Jordan’s first performance in college, before making his NBA debut and the USA team’s unforgettable Dream Team. Individual moments will feature special commentary from a number of NBA icons: teammates, opponents and other personalities close to the great champion.
Pre-orders of the two editions of the game will begin this Thursday, July 7, 2022.
