On eBay would have arrived some images, now deleted, of the smartphone with Microsoft’s dual screen. A more rounded design than the original model, with plastic finishes and a bump of the fosmaller and thinner chamber.

All changes that Microsoft seems to have wanted to position this smartphone as a cheaper version of its top of the range mobile. With code name Chronosthis device could have come on the market with a styled name “Surface Duo Go”, as for the cheapest tablets of the line.

The device would apparently have had a Qualcomm mid-range processor, a dual rather than triple camera, a flat display without the Microsoft At a Glance bar and plastic exterior.

Microsoft is currently working to bring Android 12L on the current Surface Duo 2 and seems to have set aside the project of a mid-range version of this smartphone. Instead he would be working on a third generation of the top of the range, but not before 2023. This new version should once again have a dual screen and top specs. But with some software news that Microsoft is certainly studying in view of the launch.
